Ralph,

Thanks for the correction, I'm always getting the two mixed up.
Kimball also got rid of Herberger Brooks they were bought out by Harmony
pianos in Hong Kong, which is now in China and since Harmony took over.
Herberger Brooks have started to make piano cases as well as action
parts, I wonder how long before it is a full piano.

There is an interesting development happening in China at the moment.
Chinas lartgest piano parts maker has just lost some of its key staff.
They are setting up a Company in China primarily at first to make piano
parts but eventually produce very cheap pianos, They will flood the
Western Market with them. Even though I believe these pianos will be
SH 1 T, they will do damage to the Western worlds lower end piano
manufacturers. Also possibly to the secondhand market. Mr. James Zheng
indicated to me that they wanted to retail these pianos under £800.00.
and posibley use piano tuners to market them, cutting out the retailers

The lower end volume market in the U.S. and the U.K. need to be looking
very seriously at the Chinesse market, this will eventually become the
Worlds largest market place for accoustic pianos.

Barrie.
