I knew there would be something I forgot.

Measure down bearing before all strings are removed.
And/or measure height of bridge surface above sound board.

This will tell you how much flex is in the apron or the
effect of down bearing when compared to measurements
taken unstrung.

Also, when marking for pin holes on scribe line; the stagger
could be lessened by marking on the respective sides of the
thread. As looking at it from the rear, front pin mark on right side;
rear mark on left side.  Larger pins displace the wire more, so
this is an option.
