I'd like to thank Jim Sr. for his articles, as well as Fred Sturm and Steve Schell for their valuable input. One thing I havn't seen mentioned is, even if you aren't altering the stretch, an important note to check aurally is C5. It could be off if you're tuning two pianos together with dissimilar stretch numbers, or if you've gotten an incorrect stretch # for A4. In fact, I suppose it's important to give a little bit of extra aural attention whenever the SAT changes the partial it listens to. Thank you! Larry Gardner, RPT Fresno, CA
