turning let-off screws

      I have found that the loop on the top of the Steinway let-off screws
will just fit inside the socket of my Black and Decker "twist" cordless
screwdriver.  Even if you do not have the let-off driver,  you can turn the
screws fast and straight with one of these.
     If the screws are really tight,  you will break them off when using even
these light power tools.   To avoid that,  turning them  back and forth
little by little will gradually loosen them enough to avoid breaking them, (
or use heat, carefully!)

     The idea Newton has for a Steinway flange used as a button holder is
great,  one of those, " I-wish-I-had-Thunk-of-that"  techniques.  ( do you
have to trim it down to make side clearance for the last button you installed
on the side?)
