One trick I've tried to correct or minimize jumping pin problems which has worked more often than not is to drop string tension a bit, then turn the pin clockiwise and anti- clockwise several times in rapid alternation. This heats the pin, expands it, tends to ream out the hole and generally lets me get on with my business. Hope it works for you. Jim DeRocher The kindly old tuner
