[CAUT] student assistants

Hi Alan,

There are 2 of us here full-time for 230 pianos....I will generally have one student assistant at any given time since I just wouldn't have time to keep 2 or more busy. The student I have helping right now is a bassoonist and he has excellent motor skills so I've been having him bushing keys, stringing, travelling hammers, leveling keys, and the like. He has been learning some tuning but just doesn't have the time to practice so I don't think it would be productive to set him loose on the practice rooms...maybe next year.

Best,
Eric

Subject: [CAUT] student assistants

I would like to get a "show of hands" of all the CAUTs who utilize student assistants in some capacity or other. Please indicate whether your CAUT position is full-time or part-time, and the kind of tasks you have been able to train your assistants for.

Many thanks,

Alan Eder
