Good points Cy. When I know the mover used the lyre to move I always try to examine it carefully and fix everything, what may or may not have been caused by them. It's a good time to do this. But... just because there's no immediate visible damage, isn't it probable that it's overstressing glue joints that aren't designed for side stress? Look at the fore-and-aft braces to resist a player's foot -- a lot less stress!
