[CAUT] Correction on salary for U of Georgia position

Way to go Jeff! I have basically been called a lyre over this, when all I
did was ask a simple question about what others thought of the pay... Its
not my fault if the University does not know what's on the web site that
belongs to them, or if the information that's provided on it is out of date.
I just reported what the site says! If they want to get hot and bothered
about it maybe people such as myself should think again about applying for
the job. I don't know anyone who works for this institution and its
probably a wonderful place to work, but too many misunderstandings like this
one could give the place a black eye with technicians. I'm glad someone
came out and let the list know a little more about what's going on. I am
the one who suffered for this. I had an application in with those folks (I
love that part of the country) but I don't have to worry about that
anymore... Don't get me wrong, I care about how the University feels about
my statements but mostly I am concerned of how this makes the Guild and
other technicians feel about me. Keep in mind here, all I did was state
information that appeared on the UGA site. So, its all over now I hope!
Nun the less the only thing that is and or was erroneous is the web site or
the person who filed the complaint. Not me or any of my statements. Either
the figures on the site are correct or they are not, either way that's not
my problem... I just have never done well with disrespect from others, and
that aint going to change. Not for any university in the world! Does
anyone think a person is going to apply for a job like this with out
researching the pay? Come on! I can't believe that people needed to know
where I got the info. Oh, um, well, its a public university! Any how,
thanks again Jeff! I'm glad someone made a statement for the record. I
have gotten apologies privately, but nothing has ever been said on the list.
Like I have stated, for me my relations with other technicians is more
important than any of this other business. I guess we will always have
erroneous folks who make erroneous statements! Take care folks.
