applying lacquer/ teflon

Dear List,

I've kept two vapor-shields (Dampp-Chaser) in my voicing kit for quite some
time, just to catch drips when lacquering hammers.

(Oh... so you never spill!?)

Yesterday, they turned up while I was rifling around for something to catch
surplus teflon with, while treating some knuckles.

The wippens held them (the vapor shields) securely in place between leather
and drop-screw, and the thick mylar seemed to be an ideal surface to work
teflon into the knuckles, merely by rocking the keys.

Finally, the excess teflon was easy to brush back into the container.

I'm happy.
