I hate using "web" email - so - use Thunderbird........ I forward a lot of mail (from Thunderbird) to my wife (who also uses Thunderbird) BUT her email address was sent as "lj........ at att.net" and was returned back to me as "mlj....... at att.net. AT&T email servers - somehow - changed the email address by adding an "m" in front. I have proof that it is NOT from my side because the email came back as "Failure Notice" and the following is quoted from my returned email.......... mlj..... at att.net Remote host said: 551 not our customer [RCPT_TO] So your probably saying - so what............... So I called AT&T support and they told me - and I quote - "If you are not using our web mail system we can not help you and offer NO support. Furthermore, any of the email clients is NOT supported" And, they tried to push me to PC support called ConnectTech - which is a paid support. Even though I tried to keep reminding them that the message stated that the "Remote host said" so that means that it is coming from - your - email servers somehow. And again, they said we can't help you unless you are using our web mail system.
