Bill Spurlock gives an excellent explanation of the damper upstop rail and presents a very easy and precise method of adjusting it. It's in a booklet called Technical Lesson Plans 20-35: Grand Regulation. I think you can purchase it from the PTG office. Its a booklet worth owning since it is filled with great information about all aspects of grand regulation.
