1 1/2  turns out, coil on two full coils, make sure the string is cut to
the right length before coiling.  If the wire is cut too long the pin ends
up too low in the block.  If the wire is too short, the pin will end up too
high (preferable to too low) - and you'll have too many or not enough coils
on the pin, respectively.
