Why, Joe? Are you thinking it's going to make owners mess up their pianos? Or put technicians out of business? I don't think either of those things will happen. I think it's a clever bit of publishing that enables a full-colour manual to exist which otherwise would not. I used to buy the Haynes manuals for whatever car I had. They showed you everything, taking out the engine, stripping the gearbox etc. Now, I was never going to do any of those things, but even if the manual showed you how to remove a particular bit of trim so as to access some component, it was worth the money. Most piano owners will not attempt most of what's in here, but it may be tremendously interesting for some owners, and may increase their interest in having their piano properly maintained, and their respect for their technician.
