Received a series of email from an person I haver never met. I thought they found me on the internet somewhere. Text below. *First email:* Do you only do "standard" tuning or would you tune a piano to have a "honky-tonk" sound, and would there be a price difference? **** *I reply:* * * I could tune a piano so it sounds like a honky-tonk piano. Price would be the same as a regular tuning. **** *Customer emails again:* * * Do you have a set price for tuning or does it depend on the type of piano? **** *I reply:* It depends on how far I have to drive, and in what condition the piano is in. Sometimes pianos that haven't been tuned in a while need multiple tunings at the first appointment to ensure a stable tuning. **** *Customer emails yet again:* It's not in the best shape, nothing is broken but I found this piano on a ditch a few months ago and it's just out of tune. One of your business cards was stapled to the inside so I figured I'd get you to tune it. **** *I reply again, having rejected the first thoughts that came to mind, all of which were terribly snarky <G> :* I am not at all interested in looking at a piano that was found in a ditch. **** *Customer emails again:* Alright, thanks anyway. **** Now I'm wondering if this was one of my "friends" playing a trick on me. It has happened before. I hope there really aren't folks out there who take home ditched pianos.
