And we are certainly a relentlessly literal lot. Astronomical 
observation is possible in various ranges of the electromagnetic 
spectrum, like light and radio frequencies, any of which can convey 
secondary frequency information, interpreted as sound, as a modulated 
carrier. Science 101.
