Hi Marshall, I would like to hear others thoughts on this as well. For me it seems like I have fewer issues when the left and right screw to the back of the action are loosely tightened first. This points out to me quickly if the stack is correctly positioned equally over the capstans. Another thing that I watch for is that I am not depressing any keys as I place the stack in place. I have often wondered if it would be easier to place the stack on from the rear of the action but have never tried as it seems like it would require more work to turn the action around resulting in breakage events for me. >g< I need one of those neat action cradles I saw at Reno this weekend.
