Backrail cloth is swelling?   Did you check the hammers on the rest rail?  Lost motion?  If the back rail cloth is swollen, the front of the keys will go down, and you'll have less dip.

Three Baldwin Hamilton studios in different locations have the same problem in which key dip becomes shallow during very humid conditions.  It seems impossible, but the problem clears up when humidity problem is corrected.

Any thoughts?
