Hi William, I'll have to give that a try. Does gently pushing down on the wippen affect the pinning especially on an old piano? Roger, I don't think the dampers were touching only because they lifted fine when I had the bass sustain depressed. Plus I didn't hear the rubbing sound it would have made. The felts were very dry.
