[pianotech] Melting on plastic elbows

Robert,

I do it all the time. Just bend a center pin to go in a small handle, brake out the old stuff, insert the crooked small center pin and insert another pin of the right size from the other side. You can hold it with a small vice grip. I put the action on a cradle and tip it forward and lift up the wippen that I want to work with. Takes about 45 minutes to install a set of wood replacements.

William

Anybody ever replace the elbows without pulling the action?
