We used to chuck the wire in a drill and spin them in Dale S. Erwin www.Erwinspiano.com 'Tweren't me. I'm a proponent of the spin technique. Clamp aViseGrip on the wire at the top of the old elbow and cut off the oldplastic with end nippers. Once the new elbow is started, rotate the VG whileholding the elbow.
