[pianotech] Piano Order Junk Mail

I did not get this email, so whoever sent this didn't get the email address through the pianotech list. Otherwise I'd have gotten it. I get all kinds of junk daily. It may be that some technician with a virus or trojan or whatever in his computer is having his email address book harvested for emails. Then, you have everybody in that address book getting the same emails. I don't think Andy is letting out the list to spammers. Somehow, your address was in that address book, so you were included. Or so I guess. That's how these things work. Maybe he found your email somewhere, somehow related to pianos. He's targeting piano techs, so maybe he has a list of techs that he purchased or something.
Or, maybe some rascal tech on this list has too much time on his/her hands. ...Nah!

You are not the only one to get this message. I rarely respond to posts on this forum for professionall reasons, but it's quite obvious the subscribers to this forum were targeted. The operative question, therefore, is how did they get this list. This is not a criticism of the PTG because I believe the PTG forum is managed to the best possible within their resources. But, the question remains and I hope will be resolved. The immediate answer by some willl be, it's not that difficult if you follow the forum. For the benefit of those concerned, however, I was targeted and have not contributed to this forum for several years so the ability of this source to find my e-mail address deserves some investigation.
