The pins either feel right or not. They should move smoothly. Jerk tuning is not an option. They should be tight enough to stay put and not slip. It is almost impossible to do a stability blow because nothing hits them. They are plucked. So "tight enough to not slip and loose enough to not jerk::. Does that help???
