Yes, it did. That was different too. It had holes in each end. These holes then slid into the pins that were lodged and located in the side on the case of the piano. The thingy that pulls it down, had a hole in IT too. The muffler rail had a pin that on the right side of it that went into that hole. Then, a nut and washer was screwed onto it to hold it into place. You might say that it was a nutty design. My guess in looking at how inexpensively the piano was made (POC) is that it is some sort of Chinese or Korean made piano. It does not have the design or style of Jesse French or Lester or any other make that I can think of and appears to be to new anyway to be one of these. I hope not to many of them were made.
