If I run into that, I just put a little dab of Protek CLP in it and let it set for a bit. Usually works pretty good. Everyone is stiff, nearly half are so stiff as to be unadjustable, to the point of stripping out the head of the screw. I've tried multiple flathead screw sizes and nothing seems to work.
