I seriously doubt the Rust Blocker Shield will provide any beneficial effect in a piano - especially a grand, but verticals also. Pianos are not sealed - they are too open to the surrounding environment and humidity will equilibrate with the room they are in. The Shield states that it is effective in enclosures up to volumes of 400 cubic feet. In a piano, if you were to tape all the openings to seal it, at about 25 cubic feet interior volume, it may well offer some rust protection. But being that the piano interior will equilibrate with the room - an average room being maybe 2,000 cubic feet - and that's if the room were sealed off - the thing appears being used way beyond its intended capacity.

While Rust Blocker will not keep all rust from forming on the strings, it is at least some protection. Damp chasers are also supposed to prevent rust, but I've seen pianos here with damp chasers that still got some rust. With the humidity at a constant 60% - 80%, 24/7, 365 days a year, we try to do as much as possible to keep the rust away. Don't forget, 90% of the homes here do not have air conditioners. Windows are always open, and piano are often placed in front of a window, or by open doors, and even on outdoor patios with a roof, called a lanai. So anything we can do to stop some of the rust is welcomed.

BTW, what on earth is a Rust Blocker shield?

As I tell my customers: "Rust blocker emits a vapor that settles on metal parts in the piano, which prevents moisture form adhering to the metal, thus preventing rust." The vapor comes from a piece of foam, that is kept in a plastic cover until I open it, inside a box, one foot square by 1/4" thick. I put in the bottom of an upright, or lay it on the plate in a grand. (usually under a string cover). It is replaced once a year.
