Richard and all- You might check to see if the let off rail is out of position ( too close to the jack itself ). This can cause the jack to trap / wedge between the rail and the butt in the escaped position. A tell tale sign is if the key will move but the wippen/jack stay up in their trapped / wedged position. The jack tender will also contact the let off button farther toward the player. Those compressed console actions can be prone to this. Your mileage may vary. David David C.
