Hmmm maybe cheaper to buy some weights at a > Sports Authority? High temp for the week may be 105 degrees! Ambling > around at dawn may be my best bet. Later . . . ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That's ridiculous that Ballys is charging for internet service and spa privileges at a time when Las Vegas is struggling with tourism. Steve Wynn, one of the big millionaire moguls here who owns and operates several of the big resorts, recognized that this was a bad idea and recently announced that HIS hotels would not be charging for things like that. Very smart. As far as internet is concerned, bring a notebook if you have one. You will find many free wifi hot spots. Doing a 5 minute google search I located the following and this list is probably very incomplete. Many of these are a short walk from Bally's. Aladdin hotel - Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Miracle mile shopping area Fashion Show Mall - Saks Fifth Avenue Las Vegas Convention Center - monorail station Las Vegas Hilton - Fortuna Coffee/Wine Bar Venetian - Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf The Palms - Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf RIO Hotel & Casino - Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Fitzgerald Casino - Krispy Kreme Main Street Station Hotel Lobby Sugar & Ice - Wynn Esplanade Shops Terrace Pointe Cafe - Wynn Kahunaville Island Restaurant - Treasure Island McDonald's - near MGM and Casino Royale New York, NY - ESPN Zone Denny's - near Casino Royale Apple Store - Fashion Show Mall, (on the strip) Planet Hollywood Hotel - Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Kahunaville Island Restaurant - Treasure Island Hilton Grand Vacation Club Betty's Diner - Imperial Place The UPS Store - (on the strip at 3555 S Las Vegas Blvd) Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas (this is physically attached to the Mandalay Bay) I don't think Bally's has a pool but you could possibly sneak in at another hotel. When I first moved here my wife and I sneaked into the resort pool at the Tropicana on a particularly hot day. No one even took a second look at us, we strolled right it. On our way in we stole towels off a maid's cart, (Yes, we returned them). I'm not sure about exercise or spa facilities. Speaking of spa, if you really want to treat yourself to something special, (or your spouse, or both of you), take a little time out and visit the Green Valley Spa located at the Green Valley Ranch hotel/casino, (about 15 minutes by taxi). They will pamper every inch of your body with an INCREDIBLE hour massage. Then you have full privileges to the rest of the facility, (sauna, hot tub, whatever), for as long as you want. They make you feel very important. Don't be shy, you're SUPPOSED to be naked on the table, (but they use a sheet). They will be very professional but don't waste the experience, ask for one of their very nice female masseuses! (Who wants to be pampered like this and waste it all with some guy?) It's a bit pricey, about $100, but I PROMISE you, (I promise, promise, promise), when you walk out you will feel completely refreshed, 15 years younger, and know that every single penny was worth it. Your wife will shower you with kisses if she comes along. See ya when ya get here!! -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
