Terry,

So Far i have the grand hammer hanging jig, the soundboard cleaners, and several sets of cauls and the underlever jig. It is a matter of money. But I will get the rest as needed =)

Yes I have it. As well as several other jigs Bill sells. They are wonderful. His bushing cauls are fantastic. I just bushed a set and did not have to do any easing when I was done. I did the prep work and the final result was perfect. I look forward to adding more from his line. Probably the hammer and shank clamps and the soundboard repair stuff. We will see.

G'nite,

If you don’t have it already check out the damper regulating platform that Bill Spurlock sells http://www.spurlocktools.com/id61.htm

Thanks David and all,

That is what I am going to do. Following your advice and Susan's PTG Tech article should make it easier. Not starting till next week.

Always in the piano with a platform to regulate the lever height as I go. Fewer shut off problems, it doubles for getting the timing right at installation and you can determine how much you need to trim the trichords right there.

I'm wondering how many of you glue new damper felt on old heads and wires with dampers in the piano and/or out? I have a set to do on a newly strung piano and this is the first set I am attempting. I have Susan Grahms articles from the PTG technical prep manual and her method and I have a method and suggestion from a colleague who suggests something different.

Thoughts? Suggestions?
