Turn it over and tap it out from the bottom, or lock it in a vise, wrap
leather around the spoon and use pliers. Carefully. :-) You might be able to
lever it out or use a hammer extracting pliers, but it's hard to keep the
right angle.

Hi Kerry,
thanks for the ideas.  the wippen might have a hole already for a spoon.  I
pulled a c 88 out of a Kimball and there I found a tiny hole for a spoon.
What is the safest way to extract a spoon without bending up?  Thanks again
everyone.
