Pat i have had a website since 1996, and though it's been revised several times, I use it mostly for piano listings as an online catalogue . . . not that there's much activity these days. Almost everyone will 'check your website' to assess your level of legitimacy, and experience. It's not always a good measuring stick, but that seems to be a very popular tool . . Domain registration, hosting and construction are all quite affordable, and accessible . . like nike says . . . just do it !! Talk to Tremaine Parsons. It's really cheap and will give lots more people access to your services. I find lots of people contact me because I have a website (and also because of the PTG site). It's a far better investment than yellow page ads. Check mine out at dstahlpiano.net. I don't sell anything, just try to educate customers and give them a way to contact me. I offer the standard tuning and repair services, no refinishing, sales, or moving, and am in a semi-rural area with a smallish population 60 miles from the state capitol, Sacramento.
