There is small screws in the holes that tighten against the tubes.
I found that the screws were hard to work with, being so small. So I substituted Allen screws, and use an Allen wrench.

  Subject: [pianotech] a quick question

  Hi Everyone,
I have a question and I hope it's not a stupid one. I'm trying to figure out how to put my action cradle together. The metal legs go into the holes on that solid piece where the cylindar that clamps the action rests. Are the legs suposed to scew in or just sit in the hoes. Turning them to tighten doesn't bear any results. They sit in there so loose that I'm afraid the action won't be secure when I head out Tuesday to do a repair hopefully a quick one. Any ideas on how to secure the legs? Thanks
  Marshall
