make sure you test the silk cords holding the rep lever spring.  Even though they may look o.k.,  they 
can start to break as you adjust the spring tension.

I know that there is info in the archives on silk cord replacement.   You will be glad you did.

  I guess I should have been keeping a folder of unusual actions posted on pianotech.  OK, from now on I will.  In the meantime, can someone please tell me what kind of action this is (besides old & dirty)?  When I know the type, I'll search the archives for information about it.
