Sorry no photos and I lost track of this piano after I delivered it 600 miles away. But If I had pictures, I would have checked my beckets before posting it... ;) -----Message d'origine----- De : pianotech-bounces at ptg.org [mailto:pianotech-bounces at ptg.org] De la part de David Love Envoyé : 5 octobre 2009 19:51 À : pianotech at ptg.org Objet : Re: [pianotech] Bridge repair I've sometimes contemplated doing a similar thing in a grand and wondered just how I could work around the problems of access. For example, I have a Steinway D that I work on, no budget for a complete job, but a treble section that could really use a recapping and a budget for that. I've sat and stared at it on several occasions wondering if I might want to take that on and how I might do it. I'd be curious to see pictures of this particular job--ok, it's a Lester, but the principles are the same. I've developed some of my own ideas on it but haven't quite talked myself into it yet. Witout removing the plate, I manages to carefully cut the bridge at the notch (under the plate post). The removed bridge section was about as long as bass bridge. I was very pleased with the final result. It was a big Lester. In this piano it was an easy job. Pierre Pouliot No virus found in this incoming message.
