For customer budget reason, I once had only the treble section of the bridge recapped. Witout removing the plate, I manages to carefully cut the bridge at the notch (under the plate post). The removed bridge section was about as long as bass bridge. I was very pleased with the final result. It was a big Lester. In this piano it was an easy job.
