Someone mentioned the high quality cloth that Schaff sells.? Since nobody else has given more info on it, here is a bit.? The high quality key and?flange?bushing cloth is made by Hainsworth in England.? They have a web page, but does not give much info on their piano products.? A few years back, a member of the Hainsworth family presented a class at the annual technical institute.? They have been producing fine felt for generations, for the royal family and?British military for costumes and uniforms (their web page does give you an idea of the variety of their other felt and wool products).??The class showed the felting methods and discussed variations and problems with felt manufacture.? I know we tend to?expect that the better stuff is being sold by PianoTek, Renner, and by? our friend Jurgen, but I don't think anyone is selling a better quality bushing cloth in the U.S. or Europe right now... just my opinion!
