I am reposting this again as I didn't see it in my e-mail..................=
Ron Boyd=0A=0A=A0=0AI need to know the year a Matz & Co Bird Cage (over dam=
per)action piano was built. It's not in the 11th addition of the Pierce Atl=
as and=A0I don't have the 12Th. addition yet. =0AThe serial number is, 1068=
2. The woman who has it, got it from an estate sale and had it refinished a=
t a considerable cost to her. She didn't have a Piano Tech look at it befor=
e she bought it as I'm sure he or she would have advised her against buying=
it. =0AThe action frame is made completely out of wood and I was able to m=
ake parts for it to get it back in working order. The pin block is shot=A0b=
ut she still wants to fix it so=A0I told her I would try to use CA glue on =
it but no guarantees that it will hold. =0AThe piano is drop dead beautiful=
and should be in a museum! =0AThe dampers don't lift straight away from th=
e strings=A0but instead the=A0bottom part lifts first followed by the top p=
art, than just the opposite when they return. I haven't installed it yet bu=
t I can see where that will cause problems when playing. =0AShe is very int=
erested in finding out the year and any information she can get on it so if=
anybody has that info I would sure appreciate it.=0AThis is the first time=
I have come across an over damper piano and I can see why most techs won't=
 touch them.=0A=0ARon Boyd=0AMilwaukee chapter #532=A0=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A______=
