[pianotech] offset of SAT to non-440

David,

One important thing to remember is the difference between reading A4 at
startup and reading A4 when working with a page in memory. When reading A4
at startup (ON, TUNE) what you see is what you get. When reading A4 with
an active page in memory it is really reading the third partial of A4 which
is E6 even though it displays A4. When you computed the FAC and stored it
on a page the Accu-Tuner changed to reading the third partial which is sharp.

So when you get to the point where it is rotating counter clockwise write
down the cents reading at A4. Then use the cents keys (not the MSR key) to
stop the lights. If the new number is less than the first number (say 9.0
to 7.0 or -1.0 to -2.5) then the difference will be negative. Otherwise,
positive. Enter that difference, not the new reading, into the CENTS
window including the sign. Hit the SHIFT/RST to adjust the page. This
will basically shift the page from A4 to line up with the third partial E6
which is what the Accu-Tuner is reading and what you want. One last thing,
after doing the above the NOTE window will display E6 and the lights will
be spinning like crazy. Just hit NOTE UP then NOTE DOWN and the window
will display A4 and the lights will be stopped. (all things being equal). :-)

This is much more difficult to describe than to do. The hardest part is
keeping track of the minus sign. Any questions let me know.
