We have the same concern in Australia. Unless they are kept up North in Darwin or Cairns, the tuning pins are much looser than one would expect of a quality piano brand; and I have come across lesser quality brands from Japan that have literally fallen apart. Here in Wichita Kansas, they tend to deteriorate quickly without good humidity control. People try to shrug off the "gray market" boojum as a marketing thing, but it's a very real concern in areas that have seasons. Ron N
