Everything you need to know is in Reblitz's book on player rebuilding, and other reprints and references regarding the Duo-Art system available from Player Piano Company, Wichita, or Playercare.com. www.foxtail.com, the mechanical music chat room, also has scads of experts online. Yes, you could probably "figger it out". Some Duo Arts have tubing that goes through the action, and others the tubing goes around it. That's about it. But you'll save yourself a LOT of anxiety, and probably find much useful information, and other things to improve ( such as how to adjust the player system to the piano action, once regulated ) if you do the proper research.
