Bass Bridge Position-upright

Here are a few pictures of the back of an iron-framed Brinsmead from 
about 1878.  Note the tie between the end of the long bridge and the 
bass bridge.  The view from the front shows the cantilevering device 
for the soundboard, which pivots about half way across the diagonal 
member whown in the picture of the back.
