I was on the phone the other day w/ Yamaha tech support.  It was mentioned
that Mapes also made replacement strings for Yamaha (at least for the
vertical I was inquiring about).
FWIW, and I'm sure someone will correct this if it's wrong.  All I'm doing
is repeating what "she said."  <g>
