Alica,
Thanks for the reply.
Three years is certainly some experience and it's nice to hear that you're a guild member.
I'll suggest with the kindest of intentions that saying "Samick is crap" is not a small judgement.
Turning down the volume on catagorical condemnations of techniques and manufacturers will do wonders on endearing yourself to our little club.
Perhaps we will meet at a future seminar-convention.
Best wishes,
Tom --with a last name ,what's yours?---Driscoll
P.S.,
I'll break my own rule cause I'm 34 years in . Pin-tite is a block killer and it takes longer than three years for the damage to show. <G>
As I have already said I spent a good time with different Samick pianos, some privately owned and some I was trying while searching for "the piano".. So maybe perhaps my experience with them doesnt stand out as much as with most experienced technicians but I think for my age, and as a pianist I've got enough to give a small judgement on them.
I am a tech, new? Not at all, I've been servicing pians for 3 years myself, but I grew up in the house with a technician/builder of pianos (my grandmother) so I'm well aquainted with what a piano actually is.
Guild member yes.
Alicia
