OT - Twitter, anyone?

Allen,

As you found, it is for short messages only. It's meant as a sort of blog, where anyone interested in what's going on with you can read your posts.

Some people post daily or more, others get on and post something occasionally. As Ron said, it can be a way to keep in touch with a group of people.

It can also just be a fun time waster - I know, I know!

:-)

  hey Don - real quick:

what makes it different from e-mail? Is it just because it shows up on it's own page? I guess I could try it and find out, but figured you could explain...

  Cheers,

Just a note to see if anyone else has tried 'Twitter' yet.

It's all the rage in the geek crowd, a way to keep in touch with short little messages. Kind of like a cross between a blog and instant messaging. Each post is called a "Tweet" and is sent to anyone who subscribes to you. Posts from the people you subscribe to show up in a list on your Twitter page, or can be sent to a cell phone or blackberry, etc.

I am there as "KawaiDon" should anyone want to check it out.
