The book is Upright and Grand Piano Repair by Carl Johan-Forss, published originally in Norway in 1998, and again in the English edition in 2007 by PPVMEDIEN Edition Buchinsky.

At the past two PTG conventions (NEECSO regional in Nashua NH and "the big one" in Anaheim) I very briefly perused a "new" basic piano technology textbook (lots of photos). Don't recall the name of the title or author, but the author is German; thankfully the book is in English. PianoTek Supply had copies at the conventions.

Ring a bell? Can you provide the details I forgot to take note of? Is a review in the PTJournal imminent??

As I recall, it was expensive, but not ludicrously so ?(considering the US $ has shrunk 40% against the euro in the past 7 years).
