Firstly we need type ie. grand or upright, and perhaps make and model to
help solve your riddle.
If upright, clicking is likely to be hammer butt cushion missing. Jack
will click on uncovered wood, below notch.
Squeak may be damper spring noise in dry slot. Use a sharp soft pencil to
apply lubricating graphite in slot.
