Hi, Aren't the strings after 9 years as stretched as they will ever be? Now
how Level they are is another matter.
Also string mating. Leveling and mating will give a broader area where the
unison will sound better longer.
YMMV
To me tuning unlevel or mismated unisond is like trying to balance the
teeter toter on the head of a pin.
Easy to wander any direction.
While level well mated strings are like tuning on a wide mesa. With the
added advantage sometimes of more and stronger fundamental to the pitch.
