That, I don't know. When my last AVG upgrade became immense 
and cumbersome, I sprung for the Zone Alarm Suite and dumped AVG.

I do find it interesting, but not unexpected, that Microsoft 
produced an update for an OS they no longer otherwise 
acknowledge, that doesn't work with what is one of the most 
popular firewalls on the planet.

Maybe it's just my imagination.
