Greetings:

I just got off the phone with Bob. First, there's a very small amount of silicone in there, they do list it on the label because you might not want an open bottle to be near a refinishing job. Probably the material of most of the clothes you wear has been treated with similar stuff. Next, the folks at Pianotek have changed their operation and started sizing after the bushings are installed--not because of adhesion problems, but for production results. If you are worried about future glue adhesion after sizing, the bushing glue would be protecting the wood for future installations.

Thanks for bringing this up, Tom. VS Profelt was slated to be mentioned in the TT & T column in September's Journal, the extra information I got during this conversation with Bob was helpful. May deadline was last Sunday, so I'd better get done today! Yikes! :-)
