On my bridge notching chisel, I changed the contour of the angled side. I ground it to a curve to sweep the notch without the 'sharp' back edge of the angled section impacting upon the speaking edge of the bridge; on the advise of from John MacDonald, RPT; RIP. This produces an easy curve to the notching process. Sharpening: fine sandpaper and a thick glass panel which I also use to seat player components. -- Regards, Jon Page
