mileage rates

You can always refer to the mileage rate that the IRS lets you deduct (instead of tracking auto expenses).  Many people are aware of this rate, so it makes sense.

  here in the panhandle of Texas, i usually charge 75 cents/mile. someone told me i could charge $1 or more, which i might do in the near future, but not right now.
  most people don't have a problem with it, because i just divide total mileage by the number of customers i am tuning for in that area that day. the more tunings i get the less the mileage charge for each customer, so customers will try to get as many tunings as i can handle.
